As a Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and National Certified Counselor, Ellie considers her work to be a privilege. She creates a safe, trusting atmosphere, while helping clients uncover key insights that lead to personal growth and greater clarity. She is focused on improving her clients' relationships with themselves, their family, significant others and friends.
Throughout the therapeutic process, Ellie encourages her clients to think about themselves in new ways, while talking about feelings and thoughts that we usually hold at a distance. She will work with you to understand how your past is affecting your current situation and get to the bottom of your issues, for achieving deep, lasting changes.
Since therapy can be an intense process that tackles intense issues, Ellie believes it should also include authenticity, humor, and flexibility. She prides herself in being able to work interactively with clients in an easy, relatable manner. Ellie believes that clinicians never stop learning. Most recently, Ellie has received spacialized training in the TEAM-CBT method, ARC (Attachment Regulation and Competency) and The Nurtured Heart Approach. Ellie has experience working in clinical treatment settings as well as the juvenile justice and court systems. She specializes in substance use, adolescences, life transitions, relationship development, and intimacy issues.
